09 May Matrix Re-Accreditation – February 2026
Directions are delighted to announce our re-accreditation of the Matrix Standard. This full re-accreditation takes place every 3 years with annual continuous improvement checks to ensure we continue to maintain our quality of service. Particular strengths highlighted by the Assessor were:
A clear commitment from the directors to the importance of delivering high quality CIAG.
Effective links are made with other partner agencies that enhance the CIAG offer. Partners describe a productive relationship with Directions staff which helps them to develop their systems for the benefit of their students. Partners also praised Directions for their excellent communication, flexibility and strong work ethic.
The organisation uses its resources effectively to deliver high quality CIAG.
The CIAG service provided by Directions is sought after by schools, academies and colleges to provide additional resources to help them to meet the requirements within the Governments statutory guidance which includes the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Directions is recognised for delivering high quality, student-centred services tailored to individual needs across Essex and into East London.
Service Delivery Agreements are designed in line with statutory guidance and are shaped by student’s needs with clearly defined impact measures and outcomes.
Directions has experienced increased demand from partner organisations which has resulted in an expansion of qualified Level 6 staff to meet those needs.
Staff competencies are established to meet the requirements of the CIAG delivery. Staff feel well cared for & supported, and regular team meetings take place to allow for updating knowledge and sharing of information.
Student’s reported feeling confident and comfortable with the guidance provided by Directions, citing the advisers’ expertise and understanding of available options and opportunities.
